July was a month of relentlessly murky grey skies and monsoon rains and for the first time in twig gardening history we found oursleves putting projects on hold.
There were some lovely-but-brief moments of sunshine and in the twig garden Allium afflatuense flowered amongst Phlomis russeliana and Luzula nivea. The Gunnera manicata drank up the downpours and seemed to grow at least an inch a day.
All the time indoors did give us plenty of time to catch up on the papers.
Happy reading...
