round up! - February 2014

weeding out the best reads from another busy month on the internet

February was a busy month in the studio. As well as design projects keeping us creative indoors, outdoors we completed our third build of the year and began the fourth.

In the Twig garden new growth appeared everywhere. The first leaves of Pulmonarias and Thalictrum, Dicentra and Chaerophyllum shot through the soil and a carpet of bulbs and flowering Hellebores brought a delight of colour.

And we also kept ourselves busy reading.

our pick of this month's reads

  • winter flowerers - We enjoyed this lovely article by Dan Pearson in The Guardian on winter flowerering plants, the 'buried treasures' of the garden. Timely and celebratory.
  • snip, snip - Another great article from Dan Pearson in The Guardian, this time about winter pruning. If you're looking for a little encouragement then this is the place to start.

Happy reading...
