Family: Caprifoliaceae

Genus: Viburnum

Species: davidii

Viburnum davidii

Viburnum davidii is a useful evergreen shrub. It is unusual in its habit reaching no more than 1.5m high, often less, but spreads out a couple of meters making it useful ground cover.

Small white flowers are produced in early summer in broad flat flower heads and are followed by attractive metallic blue berries. Plants should be clustered together to ensure adequate cross pollination if berries are to be produced.

The glossy green leaves have three very distinct veins carving deep grooves up each leaf.
