The glossy evergreen leaves of Prunus laurocerasus make an attractive and robust informal hedge or backdrop for large informal gardens. If left to grow the plants can easily reach 4m or more.
In late spring the plants produce many tiny white flowers held upright in dense vertical clusters (racemes) like candles on a christmas tree.
