Family: Ranunculaceae

Genus: Anemone

Species: x hybrida

Cultivar:'Honerine Jobert'

Common name: Japanese Anemone

Anemone 'Honerine Jobert'

Possibly one of the very best hybrid Anemones, 'Honerine Jobert' is a pure white simple petaled form with a multitude of delicate golden anthers crowded around it's soft green centre. A late summer favourite it is ideally positioned in light dappled shade where the bright white petals can shine out of the dark. Leave to stand over winter and the old seed heads will continue to delight as frost prickles there surface.

where to plant Anemone x hybrida 'Honerine Jobert'

Not particularly fussy, Anemone 'Honerine Jobert' will do well in a range of soils and locations, doing best in a well drained moisture retentive soil in full sun or partial shade. Anemone x hybrida is not shy of putting on some growth so be careful not to place it too far forwards in a border as given the right conditions it may reach over 1.5m high and 0.6m in spread.

Anemone 'Honerine Jobert' planting combinations

The colour of 'Honerine Jobert' lends itself to cool blue or white borders. Best planted en masse the bright white is also perfect as a highlight to dark foliage shrubs, purple being a particularly favourable foil.
