our history
how did it all happen?
We formed twig in 2004.
At that point in our lives we were living together and sharing a studio space, but running two separate companies. Jason was a garden designer and landscaper and Lucy a freelance embroiderer.
common ground
It's probably no surprise, then, that two people who spend a lot of time together, talking (endlessly) about design, should become increasingly involved in each other's work. A joint musing over a new design, a combined 'ahh' over a new project, a problem shared is a problem halved...you get the picture?
As the flow between home and garden grew stronger we began to see that if we could find a way to bring our work together we could create one bigger, better company which would offer our clients so much more. And so the seed was sown and twig was born.
branching out
We like to think that twig is a perpetual work in progress. We never sit still, and we're always on the look out for ways to be better, for new designers to share with you, new gardens to tell you about, new ways to do our job better.
